Terms of service
These terms cover this website and the Antimicrobe service. The clinical section is the one that matters most, and it is not buried.
Last updated 9 August 2026
1. Who these terms are with
This site and the service are operated under the brand Antimicrobe at antimicrobe.ai. In these terms, Antimicrobe, we and us mean that operator, and you means the person or organisation using the site or the service. Contact: contact@antimicrobe.ai.
2. Clinical use, stated plainly
Antimicrobe is a data analysis and surveillance tool. It is not a medical device, it is not FDA cleared, and it does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Its output is a summary of the data you provide, computed under rules that are displayed alongside it.
Empiric rankings, susceptibility percentages and trends are for review by qualified professionals in the context of your own institutional guidelines. Nothing produced by the service replaces the judgement of a clinician, a clinical microbiologist or a pharmacist, and no clinical decision should rest on it alone. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide and for how the output is used.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not upload data you are not permitted to process.
- Do not attempt to re-identify individuals from any data in the service.
- Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the service, or to access another customer's data.
- Do not resell or redistribute the service, or present its output as a certified or regulated result.
- Do not use the service to make automated treatment decisions for individual patients.
4. Accounts
Signing up requires a working email address, confirmed by a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and we will say why.
5. Plans, billing and changes
Plans and prices are published on the pricing page. Nothing on this site charges you today: plans open as onboarding batches open, and no card is collected during signup. When paid plans are active, subscriptions run monthly or annually, renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and cancellation stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period unless we agree otherwise in writing.
We may change prices for future periods with at least thirty days notice to existing subscribers. Plan limits, such as facilities, seats and isolates a year, are the ones published for that plan at the time you subscribe.
6. Your data
Data you provide remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store it, process it and produce the outputs you ask for. We do not sell it, do not use it to train models, and do not share it with other customers.
Aggregate operational information about the service, such as how many reports were run, may be used to improve it, and never in a form that identifies you, your facility or any patient. The browser demo on this site stores nothing at all, because your file is never transmitted. See the privacy policy for detail.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available and will give notice of planned maintenance where practical. Except where an Enterprise agreement includes a service level agreement, the service is provided without an availability commitment.
8. Intellectual property
The software, the interface, the wording on this site and the Antimicrobe name remain ours. Breakpoint tables, guidance documents and other standards referenced by the service belong to the bodies that publish them, including CLSI and EUCAST, and are used subject to their terms. Nothing here transfers rights in them.
9. Third parties and references
Where this site names another product, organisation or standard, including WHONET, the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CLSI and EUCAST, it describes them from their own published material for comparison and explanation. No affiliation, endorsement or partnership is claimed or implied.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may end an agreement for material breach of these terms, or where continuing would be unlawful, after giving you a chance to fix the problem where that is reasonable.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and material changes are notified by email to subscribers before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator is established, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of that jurisdiction. If you need that stated specifically for a contract or a procurement process, ask us at contact@antimicrobe.ai and we will confirm it in writing rather than leave you to guess from a web page.
