# Antimicrobe > Antimicrobe is antibiogram and antimicrobial resistance surveillance software that builds cumulative > antibiograms from laboratory susceptibility data and ranks empiric antibiotic options by local > susceptibility rates. Antimicrobe turns the twelve-month susceptibility export a microbiology laboratory already produces into a CLSI M39-style cumulative antibiogram, cut by specimen source, unit and period, plus a ranked list of empiric options by coverage. It runs in the browser. The demo on the homepage parses a CSV entirely client-side and never uploads it. ## What it is not Antimicrobe is not a medical device, is not FDA cleared, and does not diagnose or prescribe. It does not compute antibiotic consumption metrics such as days of therapy, does not connect to an electronic health record, and does not perform real-time alerting.
